Hot on the heels of 90.0b1 released on June 3, 2021!

<https://www.thunderbird.net/en-US/thunderbird/90.0beta/releasenotes/>

TB 90.0b1 introduced the new printing UI that Firefox 89 uses and "First
iteration of new address book user interface: Set
|mail.addr_book.useNewAddressBook| to |true| to enable"

Address book in a tab!

I'd start using it if
<https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1693019> was fixed.

OMG, now he even screwed the subject line.

Can you please stop these useless announcements?
Everyone who wants to know already knows and the rest of us just don't care.

Thank you.

Well, I just know about it after his post and planning to upgrade my beta
Thunderbird later at home.

So it is not that useless, at least that is information.

Dillinger weeps. 😭

These useless to you announcements were not allowed in the moderated
Mozilla support groups. This is a software discussion group.

I'm not forcing you to read them and they may be useful to others.

> Everyone who wants to know already knows and the rest of us just don't

You are sure that everybody who wants to know already knows, or would
you like to be informed about what changes are coming in the next
release coming a year after 78 was released, with all the changes in 79,
80, 81, 82, 83, 84, 85, 86, 87, 88, 89, 90 and the 91 beta.

The ones that don't care will be the ones posting OMG I can get email,
use the calendar, read feeds and newsgroups, and use chat, but how do I
disable this, or get my Address book and New account setup back into a
window instead of a tab. 😭

Found this on Matrix yesterday.

sancus

yes, 100K users(weekly)"

With that few users and not knowing how many are subscribed to these new
software groups, I am considering dropping my Usenet-News account.

Come on Walt, nobody is interested in your yesterdays news.
At least keep your useless announcements filterable.

I don't run betas for thunderbird (and only rarely for firefox) but I'm
interested to hear what's coming down the pipe.
