Thunderbird often stalls - not responding according to Windows. (Latest on Win 10) Any ideas about what might cause this?

This is what did some time ago. Optimized the drive, refreshed Windows 10 with the keep data option and reinstalled all the programs I used from Mozilla. Also set the drives to optimize weekly and only use Windows Defender. Can't remember if I set that to not scan Thunderbird. I haven't seen many "Not responding" since doing that. -- OS: Fedora 34 Workstation - Gnome 40 Desktop https://www.thunderbird.net/en-US/get-involved/ Lock him up! Lock him up!

Implemented in TB 86.0b1, which is now 90.0b2, and should be in the next release 91, if there are no major blockers. <http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?f=29&t=3070087&p=14883926#p14883926> -- OS: Fedora 34 Workstation - Gnome 40 Desktop https://www.thunderbird.net/en-US/get-involved/ Lock him up! My gmail accounts all seem to support notifications of new mail and stay up to date without frequent checks. Thanks for the anti-virus reminder - I need to turn it back on and see what happens. It's not clear to me its needed since any bad content will hopefully be caught when another app tries to open it.
