Thunderbird will not wake from minimised if left for several hours.
Not sure, but it seems to happen if Firefox is also minimised at the same
time.
I cannot recall it happens when using Edge under the same conditions.
Windows 10 - Latest Thunderbird

I've noticed Thunderbird being slow coming out of minimize.  Are you 
waiting?

Right-click and close + reopen does it, but by that time I've probably
opened Outlook.

I will try when I get time.
I do notice from Task Manager that despite being 'asleep' it is running in
the background.

One week on and continuing to do it. No Firefox involved this time.
Only way is to close and reopen.

disable any add-ons for a while?

exclude all TB folders from antivirus scans
