Hey Folks,

Thunderbird has started deleting my custom columns and replacing them
with some nerving defaults. It seems the settings are hold in the
msf-files.

How can I protect these files from abuse after customizing them?

Thanks a lot.

Thanks, Walt.

Thunderbird 52.0, 32 bit; Win7 Pro SP1, 64 bit. No problems for years
and years.

However, late March I tried Thunderbird 78, 64 bit. One day and I
returned to the previous version. Since then occasional nuisances come
up. In particular, my choice of columns seems to be accepted and then
disappears.

I see.

Try the suggestions by Good Guy.

I suspect the profile got corrupted by the downgrade.

While you are plonking it, why not help the OP?

Or aren't you intelligent enough.

I use a filter for one serial spammer and now I don't have to plonk
anybody :). Why can't everybody do that?

Sorry I don't have a solution but a filter might be very useful here.

Is it supposed to be some kind of cypher?

Not sure if that's gonna work.
