By default, the header item "User-Agent" shows "Mozilla Thunderbird"
only without giving any further information. Since in many cases, it
would be helpful to see some more information, e.g. the version
number and the operating system, I should like to recommend
performing the following steps for making the User-Agent header item
more verbose:
1. Open Settings | General | Config Editor
2. By searching "UserAgent" you will find:
mailnews.headers.useMinimalUserAgent true
3. Toggle it to "false".
4. Close Settings and Config Editor.
Now, the User-Agent header item has become actually verbose. On my
computer, it says:
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:138.0) Gecko/20100101
Thunderbird/138.0
Best regards,
Wolfgang
