Hi!

almost every day I see a website with a totally broken font like this:

https://schugo.de/pix/ugly_fonts.png

I had to install FontReplacer add-on, cuz it's totally mad.

I use SM 2.53.22 / FF 147 / Win7-64.

Is it missing fonts on Win7 or stupid web developes (esp. MacOS)
that only test on their own Browser/System????

ciao..

The font in your image resembles several in my collection. Most likely,
it is Arial. Others in my collection are relatively not well known and
thus not usually installed in other systems. Note that Arial is
considered a standard font. The version I have (2.40) was copyrighted
in 2008.

Helvetica is another common font. However, the font in your sample is
definitely not Helvetica, which lacks the hook on the bottom of 'l'
(ell). Actually, most sans-serif fonts in my collection lack that hook.

Also, the font in your sample is not Trebuchet because its 'g' is
different. I happen to like Trebuchet because each glyph is distinct.
There is no confusing 'l' (ell) with '1' (one) or 'O' (oh) with '0'
(zero). When writing a URI or E-mail address, I usually use Trebuchet.

Finally, there is Verdana, again not your font because Verdana is
missing the hook at the bottom of 'l' (ell). I like Verdana at 14 point
for shopping lists; it is very easy to read.

All the fonts named above and your sample are sans-serif.

Trump seems set on going to war against not only Venezuela
but also Denmark (over Greenland), Nigeria (because terrorists
have attacked Christians), and Syria (over the murder of two
U.S. military). Of course, what he did in Venezuela sets an
example that Russia will follow against the Ukraine and China
will follow against Taiwan.

Silly me. I always thought only Congress could declare war.

It can't be a broken local font. No other app renders such broken fonts.
Must be a broken downloaded web font or a css fuckup.

ciao..

4 Mozilla Browsers show this problem: FF 148 nightly, FF 115 ESR, SM latest,
Tor Browser.

Chromium works.
