2.53.23 was done earlier this month but because of moving the infra to another provider it was delayed. A bit unfortunate because it fixes some critical regressions reported for 2.53.22 but that is life. Give it a try and have last years or news years fun. Updates are not yet enabled. https://archive.seamonkey-project.org/#releases/2.53.23/ FRG

SM Mail popup can't complete the process of getting a new AUth2 token: it stalls on login (dot) microsoftonline (dot) com (slash) someotherthings [where i could "hack" the screen to pass it with Browser console], and most important, on m365 (dot) cloud (dot) microsoft (without .com) (slash) someotherthings [where i only can obtain a blank screen]. That way, SM Mail can't get a new OAuth2 token, so i can't get/send new mails. I can only read old mails before old token expired. Anyway... Happy new year for all.

It appears that some CR-LF (or LF-CR) are missing. -- David E. Ross <http:www.rossde.com> Some Republican officials have denounced the assassination of Charlie Kirk as a conspiracy by liberal Democrats. Why then is the attempted kidnapping of the Democrat governor of Michigan, the shooting of a Democrat state senator of Minnesota, and the assassination of the Democrat speaker of the Minnesota state assembly not denounced as a conservative Republican conspiracy?

So far it's working at least as well as 2.53.21, and I've managed to get through a couple of CAPTCHAs that didn't work before. One thing that still doesn't work is typing a request directly into DuckDuckGo's search bar. However, a workaround is to type search parameters into Seamonkey's address bar and click the search button. We're moving in the right direction - the number of sites where I have to use Firefox has gone down slightly. Good work, and a happy new year to all. -- /~\ Charlie Gibbs | Growth for the sake of \ / <cgibbs@kltpzyxm.invalid> | growth is the ideology X I'm really at ac.dekanfrus | of the cancer cell. / \ if you read it the right way. | -- Edward Abbey

For me, the appearance of DDG's search bar changed, as did its behaviour, about a month ago. Now if I fill in the DDG search bar and hit enter, Seamonkey's status bar displays "Waiting for improving.duckduckgo.com" and it hangs there. I have DDG set up as my preferred Search Agent (Edit -> Preferences -> Browser -> Internet Search -> Default Search Engine) so, whenever I enter a topic I want to find out about in my SM address bar and hit Enter, away SM goes and presents me with a group of websites that fit my topic. -- Daniel70

If I go straight to the DDG site (https://duckduckgo.com), I'm presented with a screen that has a search bar in the middle. Normally I just type my search request there and off it goes. Now, however, there are two buttons displayed above the search bar (below the DuckDuckGo logo); one is labeled "Search", while the other is labeled "Duck.ai". Neither of these buttons do anything under Seamonkey. I have never used the buttons on the DDG screen; I just type my request into the DDG search bar and hit <enter>. As of the recent change to DDG, I can no longer use its search bar in Seamonkey. DDG's home screen has changed. However, if I access DDG from Firefox 141.0, the original DDG home page appears, and I can type a search into the search bar on this screen and it works. If I type my search request into Seamonkey's address bar and click the "Search" button, everything works normally; I've made this my new procedure. But it's strange how DDG's behaviour suddenly changed under Seamonkey, even though I had been using 2.53.21 all along. And what's this improving.duckduckgo.com URL? -- /~\ Charlie Gibbs | Growth for the sake of \ / <cgibbs@kltpzyxm.invalid> | growth is the ideology X I'm really at ac.dekanfrus | of the cancer cell. / \ if you read it the right way. | -- Edward Abbey

Unable to replicate with 2.53.22/Win 11. I don't see the two buttons you mention, and the search bar works as expected. I tried reducing the window size, but nothing changed. I do see lots of stuff below the search bar, but nothing above it. The DuckDuckGo logo is left of the search bar, and there's nothing directly above it. There is also a "(+)Duck.ai ≡" button at the top right. Below the search bar is an invitation to switch to DDG (set as default search or download the browser), followed by a variety of explanatory and promotional materials if I scroll down. -- War doesn't determine who's right, just who's left. -- Paul B. Interesting. That's exactly what I see when using Firefox 141.0.
Maybe I have something (a setting or an add-on) that is affecting
things. It occurs on both my laptop and my desktop machine.
Selecting Tools->Add-on Manager from the Seamonkey menu on my
desktop machine gives the following list:
Adblock Plus 2.8.2
ChatZilla 0.23
DOM Inspector 2.0.20
Lightning 6.2.23
NoScript 2.9.0.14
True Full Screen in Seamonkey 1.1.5
All are marked as disabled.
On my laptop, I have the same add-ons except for Adblock Plus,
and NoScript is version 5.1.9 and is enabled.

Unfortunately, I don't seem to have Github-fu. I was able to add uBlock Origin to Firefox using its "Extensions and Themes" menu entry, but when I went to Tools->Add-ons Manager in Seamonkey I couldn't find it. Here's what seemed to work: Don't use seamonkey (don't know if it would work or not). I used firefox for this, but others are probably similar. Go to: https://github.com/UCyborg/uBlock-for-firefox-legacy/releases/tag/1.16.6.1 Scroll down to assets. The first one listed is uBlock0_1.16.6.1.firefox-legacy.xpi Now, RIGHT-CLICK and select "save link as". It will download the XPI file. Worked for me, maybe you will have luck too.

The problem here is: It's not available in Add-ons Manager. When you open this page https://github.com/UCyborg/uBlock-for-firefox-legacy/releases SeaMonkey can't open the Assets where the .xpi install file is hidden. It only works with Firefox/Chrome. Try clicking this direct link or copy/paste into a browser window: https://github.com/UCyborg/uBlock-for-firefox-legacy/releases/download/1.16.6.1/uBlock0_1.16.6.1.firefox-legacy.xpi ciao..

Use firefox, seamonkey is still too broken to work on github Go to: https://github.com/UCyborg/uBlock-for-firefox-legacy/releases/tag/1.16.6.1 Scroll down to assets. The first one listed is uBlock0_1.16.6.1.firefox-legacy.xpi Now, RIGHT-CLICK and select "save link as". You must use "save link as", or you'll get the error message. Hope this helps.
