I'm adding another fact and give up for now. Since some months ago, i can access web mail with SM cause it is handled by outlook web version, and it fails with a error about JavaScript. But if i start the process to get there in a regular tab, i have to sign-in in my organization, then i have to go to mail and then it asks for my trust in that domain. If i click on "Continue" i see the same behaviour: Both buttons keep on grey and nothing happens. But i can refresh that page, and then (surprisely) get to 2FA screen. On Oauth2 popup screen i can't press any shorcut to any function as Go back, Go forth, Refresh,... All actions are disabled: keyboard and mouse. Is there any way to force a refresh on that popup window?

If you are using a business email provided by Microsoft as a third party then it maybe it requires the client to be registered with Azure. I spent much time trying to understand all that without much success. I have an outlook email account working with Oauth2, but it is a free email address, it might be different for a business address. I think NFN Smith posted about it some time ago but my news server doesn't go back very far. Maybe also search Bugzilla.

If you got to that last 2FA step in Firefox, next screen you see is your inbox. Seamonkey just fails loading it. Now i know this fact. But now i'm more positive in another branch of this thread... In regular tabs, when both "Do you trust..." buttons turn grey, just hit F5 and then you get to 2FA screen. In that SM Mail popup window i can't press F5, right click,... all "external" actions are not allowed. But i guess that maybe is a way to allow a forced refresh to pass to 2FA and get a new OAuth2 token.

A key part here is when it's *not* hotmail/free. I don't like one domain where I have an account being managed/hosted by Microsoft - that really makes the thing more complicated than it has to be - but if I want to use that mailbox, I have to go with that... and I guess some here are in a more complicated situation where it's not just a mailbox, but e.g. the school or work mailbox. (One good thing in having such an account is that I can, at least, test OAuth2 and the like in SeaMonkey, and not just with Hotmail.) -- Nuno Silva

I don't think I've ever seen such a screen. What domain is the one you're being prompted about trusting? No need to put it here if it's personally identifiable or the like, I'm just trying to understand if it's ISP domain, work/organisation domain, email address domain, or something else. Last I tried OAuth2 with Microsoft was this month, but it was for a Hotmail account, it logged me in, but went through no such screen (just two-factor with e-mailed code). I'll see if I can give a try to the non-Hotmail Microsoft account in a new profile. -- Nuno Silva

I'm starting another branch here... Thunderbird can connect without problems at home, and can pass OAuth2 token generation with 2FA validation. Is there any way to "steal" that OAuth2 token from Thunderbird and put it into Seamonkey? Is it a file? Is it a text inside a file? Is it bound to Thundebird only?
