Same here. I've found the most time efficient way to accomplish the installation of downloaded updates is to close FF (properly, from the File -> Close mouse click sequence and not from the X in the top right corner of the screen), wait about 5 seconds, and re-open FF. Seems to successfully install the downloaded update the first time I do that.
