How many pixels is the resolution of your monitor?  My monitor is set to
its native resolution of 2560 x 1440, or 3.6 MP.  However, the web site
is very likely presenting an image that is far smaller in pixels to
severely reduce the bandwidth they would need to expend to show their
images to the casual web surfer.

Could be downloading the image file would give you a much higher pixel
count.
