I remember that Winston once provided a detailed explanation of a QuickLaunch toolbar workaround for Win11. Yesterday I tried a 3rd-party tool that's supposed to work. (Explorer Patcher and FreeLaunchBar) The promised taskbar menu didn't have a toolbar option. Maybe it's broken on 24H2? Trying to reinstall to be on the safe side resulted in Windows strobing wildly. Anyone know a solution to this? I'd be happy with a fixed Desktop toolbar. I prefer the small, compact, adjustable QuickLaunch to "pinning". I also don't like the way that pinning combines with open window icons.

For anyone interested in this, I managed to get a QL bar. See my post to Bill Powell's question on "taskbar pullout menu".
