Not used that, and each to his own, but my favourite is TextPad, which 
is trial ware, and doesn't cost much if you decide to opt in*.  IMO, 
it's about the best text or programming editor out there:

* For example, £10 = $11.20 to upgrade from v4 originally bought around 
the turn of the millennium for a similar sum  -  AFAICR, v4 was still 
actually working fine, I just wanted the latest version  -  to v8 in 
2017.  I'm still on v8 and have not felt the need to upgrade since.
