Thankyou for your reply Unfortunately, a new machine is not an option. Some of my software was through GiveAwayof the Day when you can only install on the day you get it. Other stuff was free at the time but not now. Others are no longer available because the producers have gone out of business. Newer versions of some are subscription only. I do not buy on subscription. All of my software was bought and paid for, it does the job so I dont wish to pay a subscription for software which I have already bought. Also in my experience, new versions may not have the functionality of the older version. All of these I use on a daily basis.
