  Your missing the point. The point is that *others* don't know/realize

After the Patch Tuesday on October 14, 2025, do you still have
the Enroll prompt in the Windows Update panel on W10 ???

No. I tried to fix the Win10 laptop of a friend today, using "Ask 
Woody". It was not possible today but worked OK a few days ago with my 
own Win10 laptop.>

AFAIK yes. I had already created a Microsoft account on my mother's PC
(/and/ set up Windows Backup, which isn't required anymore) and
yesterday (Oct 15) she didn't get a prompt to enrol. However, it did say
it wouldn't receive any more updates.

Online, I found this solution to run the prompt:

While I applaud that the EU is holding Microsoft's feet to the fire... 
It seems to me that this is "almost" what the bare minimum is for the USA.

The main difference appears to be that in the USA, you need to back up at
least one (could be empty) main folder (either Desktop, Documents or
Pictures) at least once (and not disable the onedrive backup utility).
   Win+R > %LOCALAPPDATA%\Microsoft\OneDrive\OneDrive.exe

For me, the real issue is privacy now that we have to have an MSA login.
 a. For that, I use a proxy to keep my IP out of Microsoft's hands, and, 
 b. I use Tor to create a protonmail account for at least one month prior.

To add further value, here's what my registry key says about my eligibility
