#182812 — NetWorx.sys

I have a warning in Windows System log.

A filter (\Driver\networx) not certified and may cause system instabilities.
Event ID 16001

I use an older, free version: 5.5. I guess an outdated certificate was
to be expected sooner or later.

I would ignore that warning.

I don't think that's what it means. I think it just means the Networx
folks didn't think it was worthwhile to submit their driver to MS to get
their blessing, err, I mean, to get their certification. Windows is
rightfully flagging it as "not certified", but that doesn't mean there's
a problem.

Do you mean the 'Windows Logs' -> 'System' log in Event Viewer?

If so, I do not get an Event ID 16001.

I have NetWorx 5.5.5, so a bit newer, the last free version.

  I'm on Windows 11 (24H2), but I don't think that makes a difference.

I am also using 5.5.5 without a problem on Windows 10 22H2 64 bit.
