I was thinking something that was incorrect... and as such my question
did not make much sense. Sorry 'bout that.

Seems "Enhancer for YouTube" is not available (yet) for Safari.

Safari still exists? I thought that was the Apple freebie they gave away a decade or two ago.

It no longer exist for Windows, but is the primary browser on macOS. It works
well there -- some sites work better with Chrome, but for most it is faster
and uses less memory. It does not have many extensions -- though Apple has
said they will support a more popular method Chrome uses so they will get a
lot more soon.

It is more focused on privacy and security than is Chrome, which is nice.

I couldn't use a browser with less extensions available, just as I couldn't use an OS with less programs available.

Get a cable designed as you want... or somehow disable pins 2 & 3 and
use only 1 & 4

I sorted it an easier way, disable the device in Windows device manager. From now on every time that particular device is plugged in, the port will only be a power port. And I don't need another cable.

Try that with an airport (etc) charging station that provides only USB
ports for your cable and no AC ports for your wall wart charger.

I wouldn't be charging the satnav in an airport. And my phone is clever enough to ask me what to do (although since the battery in that lasts for 10 hours of continuous calls (unlike Apple shit), it's unlikely I'd need to charge it there).
