I find your comment about not putting your password file on the internet
questionable UNLESS you merge files only on directly wired devices isolated
from any chance of LAN/WAN contact.

Once you told me KeepassXC (cross platform) has a "Merge" command, I
installed it and doubleclicked on a Keepass kdbx copy & it read in good.

Some of the computers will be phones and tablets.

The KeepassXC (cross platform) FAQ recommends these iOS and Android apps.

A: We don't have our own mobile app, but you can have the same

Interesting method. I'll try that but I don't know if the phone keepass
variants have a merge command. Let me see if KeepassXC is on the phone.

  I would trust News.Individual.NET more than some HighWinds server.

  The group also exists on my ISP's non-managed non-server, so go with
NIN and be happy. I am.

  N.B. In another post, another poster posts an even more doubtful list
of alt newsgroups.
