Does anyone have suggestions regarding the following? When I try to install the Realtek HD Audio Driver R2.82 (on a Windows 7, 32-bit computer), I get the following pop-up message: No driver was supported in this driver package. Or a good recommendation for a free alternative to Realtek? Note that we had the Realtek audio driver installed for years but it started causing problems. Someone suggested uninstalling it, which we did. How can we reinstall Realtek? I could not find it in our computer. I even used the restore option to a prior point to no avail. I've already tried downloading the audio driver for Windows 7, 32-bit directly from Realtek but get the pop-up message mentioned above.

Please specify what sound chip you have. If it is a on-board chip. check the motherboard's manual. Mostly they begin with ALC and a 3 digit number.
