I'm not aware of a newsgroup for Zsh. I just checked and my servers
don't have one.

There is the zsh-users mailing list.

And zsh-workers for the developers mailing list.

Note that while they are not on usenet contrary to the bash
mailing list which is also available as the gnu.bash.bug
newsgroup, they are availabe over NNTP from news.gmane.org

gmane.comp.shells.zsh.user
gmane.comp.shells.zsh.devel

newsgroups.

(you'll also find the bash, dash, fish, mksh mailing lists
there).

You can configure leafnode for instance to pull news feeds from
both usenet and gmane if you want and access those from your
usual news client (that's what I do).

My experience with gmane is such that I detest it and would never use it
for anything.

Mailing lists are fine, I was just hoping for some other options.

To each his / her own.

If you want NNTP, you can use an email-to-news gateway to subscribe to
the mailing list and feed your own news server. You can also use a
news-to-email gateway for going the other way.
