 Moving on to the third reputed iOS SMB client in the list,
o iFiles 2
<https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/ifiles-2-file-manager-cloud/id1104795347?mt=8>

It's a $7 app so it doesn't fit the problem set.

Moving on to the fourth reputed iOS SMB client in the list,
o  File Hub by imoreapps
<https://itunes.apple.com/app/file-hub-powerful-intuitive-file-manager/id730843281>

1. I open the File Hub (by imoreapps) first
2. At top left is a button called "Cloud Files" which I click
3. A "Cloud Files" section opens with a "+" button, which I click
4. An "Add Server" selection opens with "Windows SMB" which I click
5. A "Go Premium" form pops up asking for $5
Below that is a dead button for "Accessing Samba/NAS Server".

So that's two more SMBv2/v3 failures on iOS.
o iFiles 2 = FAIL
o File Hub by imoreapps = FAIL

Hi Dan Purgert,

As usual, you completely misunderstand what a 'general solution' entails,
so I will simply assume that you're ignorant and that you wish to remain
so, and move on with working with intelligent adults to define a general
cross-platform solution that works for everyone, without spending a penny
on software.

To give folks an update...

I tested ten iOS SMBv2 clients yesterday, reporting results in detail here:
o Do you know of a free iOS SMBv2 (or SMBv3) client?
 <https://groups.google.com/forum/#!topic/comp.mobile.ipad/1OY2fExXxaM>

NOTE: The question is _exactly_ the same as the Android question, only for
iOS, and yet, the quality of responses pales in comparison, as usual,
simply because iOS posters, in general, are nothing like Android posters,
when it comes to competency (IMHO).

I found _one_ smbv2 client which (barely) worked, and even so, it was
speed-crippled crippleware - but it is (so far) the best there is on iOS
(sadly, free functionality is almost always, if not always worse on iOS),
so now all I have to do is find a good iOS passed.kdbx tool to complete the
next phase of defining a general process that works for everyone, without
spending a penny in software.
o Which free iOS KeePass kdbx-compatible password database manager do you recommend?
 <https://groups.google.com/forum/#!topic/comp.mobile.ipad/nG8xHOzPp08>

Once I test the iOS password managers, we're almost done defining a general
(e.g., completely free) cross-platform passwd management setup which
doesn't put _anything_ on the Internet and which _everyone_ with the given
devices can use right away (which is the entire point that Dan Purgert is
clearly ignorant of).

As usual, I'll write up the general solution when I'm done so that everyone
benefits from every effort, to the point that EVERYONE can easily reproduce
everything without spending a penny (as always is the goal), on iOS,
Android, Windows, Linux (where Mac users will have to wait as I don't have
a Mac).

so, the answer is "no, I didn't pay to unlock all the features of the

And how many services does someone have? And you look at the last 10
addresses entered and the betting is pretty good that the password is
associated with one of them. And the person probably does not have even
100 services Now if I told you that I had a password and address and
there was a 10% chance that it was you and one of your services, I think
you would get pretty worried. Or at least you should. I find it
incredible that people get upset with a 1/100000 probability of someone
getting their password, but are blase about a 10% chance.

Hi William Unruh,

Facts.

I proposed a method to maintain privacy when using that service.
o Do you _still_ see flaws in _that_ method?
o If so ... What flaws do you (still) see using that method?

METHOD:
1. Use the Tor Browser
2. Enter one "item" (email or passwd) per session.
3. (It's helpful to wait a period of time between sessions.)

*This is a DIRECT QUESTION to you, William Unruh.*
o Since you _repeatedly_ bring up the privacy issue ...

*What do you see as the privacy flaw using _that_ approach?*
o (Or, do you have no objection when folks use _that_ approach?)

you still haven't explained how someone can link just a password with
the associated email address and the service where both are used at.

The page has entried both for email addresses and for passwords. The
usual way would be for someone to discover the email address is pwned
and they will then enter their password. That associates the email with
the password. As I said it is probabilistic, and it will not get
everyone, but it would be a great way to get probablistic association
between passwords and emails. People argue that an 8 byte password is
"unsafe" It is a lot safer than this kind of association.

Hi William Unruh,

I'm forced to add you to the list of people to the left of "mount stupid".
<https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-1m78dz-Eamo/WS9_rqu7ifI/AAAAAAAAEY0/4OWYfWVWrwAvhsexPVJQLEHmCnxwi9L_QCLcB/s1600/mt-stupid.png>

The reason it's clear you're to the left of "mount stupid" is that I've
seen at least a half dozen completely idiotic claims from you in just the
past week alone.
<https://first10em.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/09/dunning-kruger-effect-and-mount-stupid-60px.png>

You don't seem to comprehend that you can't comprehend the simplest things.
<https://understandinginnovation.files.wordpress.com/2015/06/dunning-kruger-0011.jpg>

And yet, you _think_ you comprehend them - which is the scary part.
o You're the type who thinks the lemon-juice works.
o You're convinced of that - no matter what anyone tells you otherwise.
<http://refusetobeboring.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/06/DK-effect.png>

Hence, if you see your name on my lists, please realize why.
o HINT: You can't possibly _ever_ add any intelligent value
o Hence, alienating you will benefit EVERYONE (& not just me)

In summary,
o I used to think people like you, William Unruh, were just stupid,
o Or, that you are always incessantly playing silly stupid games.
But now I realize it's far more sinister (and sad):
o You actually _believe_ the idiotic things that you claim

You're stupid - for sure - but it's far worse than just plain stupid.
o You can't seem to comprehend _anything_ that you read.
o And yet, you're _convinced_ that you do!
