Dame Harriet Walter, noted British feminist thespian, in “Bedrooms and hallways” Lots of now modestly famous people in it. A lot of cookery going on. There is a character who owns a bakery During an argument, the staff are too occupied to help a customer. So one of the characters goes behind the counter, and cannot determine what pecorino is, and decides it is ham. The customer is given the sandwich gratis because of the hugger mugger. Another character is often cooking something, in one scene, she is attracted to a guy eating a bit of toast “Is that fish paste”, she asks? He says it is all he has. She says she adores fish paste. They end up together. I never heard of fish paste, so i looked it up. Exactly what it sounds like, only it is mostly used as a soup or stew base
