Indeed. And besides -- $5B is better spent on a comprehensive plan comprised of items well known to mitigate the problem. An ineffective monument to Trump's ego is not the answer. Kid's in cages is not the answer. The president shutting down the government is not the answer. I know you're go-to response to criticisms of Trump is "yer a hater", but that could just as easily be attributed to you being a Trumpowski knob- slobberer, so there. -- -v

You're probably right. But what you aren't taking into account is that the $5B is just the camel's nose in the tent. There's no way that he can do what he wants to do with only $5B. If I'm wrong, let's see the budget -- not just vaguetweet hand-waving. Meanwhile, congress had negotiated _and passed_ a step in the right direction, with over $1B being allocated to border security. But since whats-his-nuts wanted his wall, he decided to apply his "negotiating style", which consists of: 1) Hurt someone the mark cares about 2) Tell the mark that if they give him everything he wants, he'll stop the hurting. There's a name for that kind of "negotiating style". I'll think of it in a minute. -- -v
