Female genital mutilation provides no health or hygiene benefits and is 
done solely to remove any pleasure a woman might feel from sexual 
relations because in Islam, only men can enjoy sex since women are 
wholly subservient to men.

This is the "religion" _feminists_ want to defend at all costs.

Look at the shameless lying from the right-wing propagandist "Slimer".
What filth.  It's more "the left is insane because their coalition
consists of different groups that do not always agree" lying bullshit

Any decent, reasonable person understands that there are a lot of
different people in the world.  Some are extremists, with religious
radicals probably the most extreme and intolerant of the bunch.

There are no easy answers, when more enlightened people share a planet
(or a political coalition) with those who have long-held beliefs that
run contrary to most modern thinking.

Guys like "Slimer" would solve the problem by wiping those who
practice that religion from the face of the Earth.  (Seriously.  He's
on the record.)

For those of us who are not simpletons, and who don't think that
hatred and killing are the answer, there are no easy answers.  We hope
that they can be educated and enlightened, but have no expectation of
overnight success, in that regard.

But count on right-wingers to continue their attacks, claiming that
the left is "insane" or "hypocritical" or "has no principles".  All
lies, of course.  All part of their propaganda campaign to convince
the dull-witted that people who are moral and compassionate are
actually "the bad guys".
