those mechanical engineers get an A+, and most of those parts are nickel
steel, so the dont wear out, and you cannot drill them. (no need to ask
why I was trying to drill a hole in a mechanical calculator part, it had
probably 700 or more parts.)

Did you miss kensi's post just a short time ago that said mine was in
computer science? Oh, wait, you can't have, because you frothed at it.

History, hell, you don't even seem to remember things that happened more

History tells us that those who DO remember history are also doomed to
repeat it. Those who understand the true nature of humanity understand
that.

This is why I keep telling you that whether climate change is caused my
human activity or not is purely academic, because our nature and our
needs have us locked into what's easiest, profitable (for some) and
convenient (for all). You simply can't sustain a human population of 8
billion people without huge demand and consumption of the resources
derived from planet Earth. Nature eventually rights what's wrong on her
own time schedule. We are incapable of pulling that off. Much will be
said, little will be done. Too little, too late.

Then why is now so very different from, say, 1000 years ago?

Because eventually, someone did learn from history.

If your nihilistic reasoning were correct, we'd still be destroying the
ozone with CFCs and the peregrine falcon would be extinct from all the
ongoing DDT use.

But your nihilistic reasoning is not meant to be correct, is it? It's
meant to let you stick your head in the sand and ignore the world's
problems without guilt.

Your self-deceiving kind are almost worse than the overtly kleptocratic
and sociopathic CEO/politician types. You want to know why? Because
though at least you're not *actively* being part of the problem, you're
far more numerous than those who are. It recalls to mind what MLK Jr.
once said about the "white moderate".

> Much will be said, little will be done. Too little, too late.

Cynics like you said that about CFCs and DDT, too. They were wrong. You
are wrong.

Charged particles from the sun destroy the ozone layer,
and it ( Magnetic South ) moves around, varies.

Wrong. Ultraviolet light combined with certain chemicals (such as CFCs)
destroys the ozone layer. The ozone hole is in the antarctic because
there's a vortex of air there at the stratosphere that traps things like
CFCs and concentrates them. Nothing to do with magnetism.

From WikiPedia:

On March 3, 2005, the journal Nature published an article linking
2004's unusually large Arctic ozone hole to solar wind activity.

As winters that are colder are more affected,
at times, there is an ozone hole over Tibet.
In 2006, a 2.5 million square kilometer ozone hole was detected over Tibet.

Also again in 2011 an ozone hole appeared over mountainous regions of Tibet,
Xinjiang, Qinghai and the Hindu Kush, along with an
unprecedented hole over the Arctic, though the Tibet
one is far less intense than the ones over the Arctic or Antarctic.

UV is good,
it kills the germs/fungus on the surface of the earth daily, which
