You're real good at spotting and remembering this stuff! I didn't
recognize her at all.

Well, Agnes is special. I'd seen her in movies all my (then) young
life, and enjoyed her presence in those movies. Most really attractive
women played leading ladies. Agnes did not seem to enjoy as many of
those opportunities as say Myrna Loy for instance. But she still had
the 'pretty' and the curves to boot. Oh well, they're all gone now.
Sadly. Father Time is kind to no one.

I may be 'dead' wrong but I seem to remember her in a flick called "Die,
Die, My Darling". I haven't checked.

She has been in a LOT of movies and stage plays, but not many as the
lead. Pity, she's really good. Or,was. She and all the people that
employed her are now in permanent repose. Sigh.

I didn't know that either! She is one of many "Hollywood" people that
have served in our governments. President Ronald Reagan for instance.
The only president I ever voted for that WON! oh wait, there was Jimmy
Carter too. So it was TWO. But, lots of names from Hollywood have
served, even some in genius roles. oh! yes! Hedy Lamarr! She was an
inventor, actress. She was from Austria (Arnold 'I'll Be Back!'
Schwarzenegger's homeland), a naturalized American Citizen. One of our
really Smart people, I think!

Yes he was too. I think he served two terms even! Got to give him
credit, he DID the work. So now he's an old wrinkled fat man, even said
so himself. He never believes he still has his "Austrian drawl" either.
which is almost charming, isn't it? Heh! :)

It's funny how people not born in North American don't realize we hear an
accent when they speak. When Jane speaks, everyone knows she's from England
but when she went back there years later for a visit, they all poked fun at
her Canadian accent. :o)

TRUE! I kinda noticed that when I was 18 and in a Coast Guard
residential school in NYC (Governers Island). There were people from
everywhere in that town. And I loved hearing the ladies speaking with
Brit accents and perfect English with that liquid French accent.
Delightful! Even when they just KNEW they had no accent at all! :o)
