Albert Einstein is quoted as saying..

"I want to know God's thoughts; the rest are details."

he also is quoted as saying:

"I am convinced that He (God) does not play dice."

also..

"God is subtle but he is not malicious."

but then, Albert Einstein sent a letter to Roosevelt
http://hypertextbook.com/eworld/einstein.shtml#first

and it launched the atomic bombs!

That is when Albert Einstein entered The Mind of Satan.

Now, if you believe there is no God, you're probably in The Mind of Satan, don't you agree?

You certaintly don't want to know God's thoughts, ...

God is not malicious, Satan is.

God is all Good, Satan is all bad...

God is all positive, Satan is all negative.

So, what's it going to be, Heaven or Hell?

You wanna be a zero all your life, or do you want to be Number 1?

Those of yous who want to be a zero, step to the left...

Those of yous who want to be number one, step to your right.

Do you want to live in the dark side of the moon...or do you want to live on the bright side of the moon?

Just in case you're wondering...Satan lives on the dark side of the moon.

Now, if you're an Atheist..you're probably in The Mind of Satan. I got good news for you...

God is not to far away...just a few inches...move over to the right.

Now, you're number 1.

His reasoning is well known,
and must be evaluated in historical context.

The Uranium 235 fission was discovered by German physicists in 1938.

Germans had available the rich uranium deposites
in the Czech mines of Jachymov. ( BTW the same Jachymov
where the origin of the word dollar came from )

USA having A bombs and Germany not having it
was considered less evil then the opposite.

Who are you to judge a person
choosing the evil, that seemed lesser at that time ?

P.S.>
Einstein speeded up the development just by few years,
by political rather then scientific means.

The bomb would be developed anyway by whatever party.

If had not deployed on Japanese cities, who knows
what alternative history we would have passed.
Perhaps we would afraid nukes less than we do now.

I like the Gandalf's quote in this context:
"Even the very wise cannot see all ends."

Better yet, don't reply at all.

*mucker posts, reposts, and re-posts his anti-Einstein crankiness
interminably. He is immune yo argument and never actually engages
with anyone who replies. Pure troll.

hogwash.

What do you think this old guy is showing this kid how to do?

You certaintly don't have an understanding of 'ideas' and how they come about.

That's like saying the paper clip would have been invented anyway by someone else.

The truth is, it was Albert Einstein who developed the atomic bomb...not Thomas Edison.

First you have to have around ten years experience in a patent office to understand how to build things...
then you have to have an idea like e=mc2.

Then you take the knowledge of both and you build an atomic bomb.

No, not *anyway*....It was Albert Einstein who developed the atomic bomb in Russia..along with his friends at the Manhattan Project.

(Just in case the United States decided to change it's mind, Albert Einstein had to make sure it got built.)

If you read your science fiction, Contact by Carl Sagan, they built two machines...just in case.

That Japaneese senior command of the top brass was refering to Albert Einstein device:

"...that extremely powerful bombs of a new type may thus be constructed. A single bomb of this

type, carried by boat and exploded in a port, might very well destroy

the whole port together with some of the surrounding territory." -Albert Einstein

The Joachimsthal, where the word "dollar" comes from, is in Brandenburg,
Germany. I admit I thought the dollar came from Marienthal, so I would
have been wrong too. However, I see that Jáchymov is also know as Sankt
Joachimsthal, but it's not the right valley.

But is was Joachimtal in Czech lands,
where the tolars were coined.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dollar

On 15 January 1520, the Czech Kingdom of Bohemia began minting coins
from silver mined locally in Joachimsthal (Czech Jáchymov) and marked on
reverse with the Czech lion. The coins were called "''Joachimsthaler'',"
which became shortened in common usage to thaler or taler. The German
name "Joachimsthal" literally means "Joachim's valley" or "Joachim's dale".

This name found its way into other languages: Czech tolar, Hungarian
tallér, Danish and Norwegian (rigs) daler, Swedish (riks) daler,
Icelandic dalur, Dutch (rijks)daalder or daler, Ethiopian ታላሪ
("talari"), Italian tallero, Polish talar, Persian dare, as well as -
via Dutch - into English as dollar.[1]

A later Dutch coin depicting also a lion was called the leeuwendaler or
leeuwendaalder, literally 'lion daler'. The Dutch Republic produced
these coins to accommodate its booming international trade. The
leeuwendaler circulated throughout the Middle East and was imitated in
several German and Italian cities. This coin was also popular in the
Dutch East Indies and in the Dutch New Netherland Colony (New York). It
was in circulation throughout the Thirteen Colonies during the 17th and
early 18th centuries and was popularly known as "lion (or lyon)
dollar".[2][3] The currencies of Romania and Bulgaria are, to this day,
'lion' (leu/leva). The modern American-English pronunciation of dollar
is still remarkably close to the 17th century Dutch pronunciation of
daler.[4] Some well-worn examples circulating in the Colonies were known
as "dog dollars".[5]

The one thing I know is that God is not.

Just like Satan is not.

They don't exist.

Prove otherwise.

He was speaking metaphorically.

For him, the word "God" meant the underlying laws of physics by which
the universe operated, coupled with a sense of wonderment.

The same metaphor.

So?

But I suggest the moron look up "Leo Szilard", who with a few other
leading edge physicists was concerned that Hitler would get the bomb
and use it. Szilard was a friend of Einstein, and Einstein had access
to senior government people.

Not sure about the arrow of causality, here. It could be that religion
attracts those who are already mentally ill, and lets them feel good
about it.

Yep. It's the chicken and egg question again.

(2) I say the universe must have a cause.
(3) Therefore, the universe has a cause.
(4) Therefore, God exists.

ONTOLOGICAL ARGUMENT (I)
(1) I define God to be X.
(2) Since I can conceive of X, X must exist.
(3) Therefore, God exists.

ONTOLOGICAL ARGUMENT (II)
(1) I can conceive of a perfect God.
(2) One of the qualities of perfection is existence.
(3) Therefore, God exists.

MODAL ONTOLOGICAL ARGUMENT
(1) God is either necessary or unnecessary.

of us.
(2) Therefore, God exists.

MORAL ARGUMENT (II)
(1) In my younger days I was a cursing, drinking, smoking, gambling,
child-molesting, thieving, murdering, bed-wetting bastard.
(2) That all changed once I became religious.
(3) Therefore, God exists.

ARGUMENT FROM CREATION, a.k.a. ARGUMENT FROM PERSONAL INCREDULITY (I)
(1) If evolution is false, then creationism is true, and therefore God
exists.
(2) Evolution can't be true, since I lack the mental capacity to
understand it; moreover, to accept its truth would cause me to be
uncomfortable.
(3) Therefore, God exists.
