Then you flip it again, as I assume they did in the soccer match. It was an analogy to avoid the math which no one would understand. In physics, the coin comes up both heads, tails, on end, on the moon, or the other side of the Galaxy, depending on what branch you are in. At the last Census for England those whose claimed to have religion (any religion) was down to less than 60%. At the rate at which religion is declining that figure is probably now down to 50% or less making those of who who stated that we have no religion the majority and therefore normal people Other research (from Pew for example) indicate that of those who have religion less than a third practise that religion. Which means that practising a religion is now a minority abberant behavoir and that those who no longer practise a religion or, like me have no religion at all, are in the greater majority and thus are normal people. As the number of practising theists drop the term 'atheist' becomes increasingly redundant since we just become normal people. The last census did not even bother to ask whether a person was atheist, agnostic, humanist or whatever since they were only interested in those abberants that still had religion. If they had asked they would probably not had a meaningful answer since many people are probably atheist and not realise it or are confused 'agnostics' who seem not to know whether they are theist or not. What really matters here is whether people believe there is a god or not. Since religion usually involves a belief there is a god it follows that most of those who state they have no religion do not believe there is a god implying that about 50% of us English are technically not theists (atheist) and while the rest who still believe there is a god most of them are indifferent to that god since they do not worship it.
