Most of us decide on our own which philosophy or moral code to follow. Others,
knowing the difference between right and wrong from the way they were raised don't bother to think about it. Some follow a version of the Golden Rule. We're

Some atheists argue that the application of science to the world via technology is resulting in a metaphorical hell on Earth due to pollution, loss of natural habitats, and the prolific destruction of plant and animal species.

crux of the matter - proving there is another life after this one

BTW We don't (generally) capitalize science any more than we would
god. They aren't proper names. Zeus is a "god," Allah is a god, etc..
