jimp, In Wormley's world "could" or "might" or "perhaps" means the same

Nonsense talk, Sam. There have always been two earths. There is the
planet we are familiar with and the OTHER earth that is directly
opposite hidden by the sun!
If you want to know more about this theory, just ask HVAC what I believe
and he'll make something up for you. One thing is certain. Velikovsky
showed that Venus was originally a comet and not a planet which is why
there is no water! It could never have been another hidden earth. Harlow
says it's what I believe. You can believe it too.

Hmmm, as clearly shown to us in the film: "Doppelgänger is a 1969 British science-fiction film directed by Robert Parrish and starring Roy Thinnes, Ian Hendry, Lynn Loring and Patrick Wymark. Outside Europe, it is known as Journey to the Far Side of the Sun, which is now the more popular title.[1][2] In the film, a joint European-NASA mission to investigate a planet in a position parallel to Earth, behind the Sun, ends in disaster with the death of one of the astronauts (Hendry). His colleague (Thinnes) discovers that the planet is a mirror image of Earth." https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Doppelg%C3%A4nger_%281969_film%29

HVAC believes that there is a duplicate Earth on the other side of the
sun. Most writers believe that. It's simply plausible.
Anyway Kepler's Laws are no proof because they've never been proven
valid for the solar system. Cripes.Nobody has ever been able to show
even that the solar system is stable, using Kepler's laws!
In science if you believe something is true, that is sufficient proof
that it IS true!

Hey, thanks Hardblow. I was trying to remember what people had called it
and couldn't. Nemesis! Yes! Excellent. I'll go with that one.
Bad news is that HVAC who believes in astrology now has to recalculate
all his planetary charts to include the "influence" of Nemesis!
