The particular feature Linus was talking about in the video was NVidia's "Optimus" feature where laptops have two graphic cards, one slower but low power and one faster but higher power. The OS can decide which one is used on an application-by-application basis. This feature isn't supported by NVidia on Linux. There is unofficial support from a third party, but not from NVidia. -- Bob Hauck
