Even though I prefer to do most stuff in Linux I would have to disagree about not getting any gain bu running MS in a virtual machine. IMHO MS environments are better run in virtual machines than on real machines for the following reasons: 1) Many commercial tools written for a MS OS seem to assume that they are supposed to be installed on a computer bought for the only purpose to run that software. With virtual hosting it is possible to setup multiple MS environments for such software installations. 2) Many MS OS installations seem to degrade over time. With the "snapshot" feature of virtual machines like qemu it is possible to keep reference installations in a fresh state. regards Henrik -- The address in the header is only to prevent spam.
