My last brush with GIMP was editing some png icons. I got it done but it 
wasn't fun.

Back in the dark ages Visual Studio had an icon editor that you were 
supposed to use. My first impression was 'this is going to suck!'. My 
hat's off to anyone that can create an icon that doesn't look like the cat 
puked.
