Maybe start here: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/2124190/how-do-i-implement-interfaces-in-python and see if abstract base classes will be sufficient. (I wouldn't know. I've never used Java or PHP.) More generally, you might try search the web for "interfaces in python". The above just seemed to be the most relevant response to me. Skip
