Coordinate systems are man-made constructs and only imaginary. The points in space are actually real, but carry no tags (or similar) which tell the coordinates. Sinse the points don't know where they are, we can measure their location only in repect to something else. This 'something else' is what we usually use to define a coordinate system. TH
