That is a good question. I've read that the initial sales numbers for DA2 were higher than for DA:O, but that isn't the whole story. How well did those numbers stack up over time? And what will the initial sales numbers of DA3 look like? I'm sure there are people who bought DA2 on the strength of DA:O and were disappointed -- how many of them will hold off on DA3? I bought DA:O, but haven't managed to get far enough into my play stack to actually play it yet. (Yes, I suck.) Based on the reviews, and the fact that I still haven't had time to play DA:O, I didn't buy DA2. This means that Bioware has slipped from my 'buy on release' list to my 'buy only if I need another game' list -- and given how many other good games I have pending, that's not a good place for them to be. It may well be years before my to-play stack gets down to the point where I need to fill it up with second-rank product. More likely it never happens. Result? Bioware loses a sale. -- Kyle Haight
