If possible, I would suggest you take a loog at icinga 
(https://icinga.com), it can be used for monitoring things, even custom 
data.

A setup that could work is setting up the local machne as icinga server 
and then with help of nrpe connect to the remote server and run the job 
that returns the result.

icinga itself can be hooked in different ways to notify you, sms, email, 
client app on the phone, send message to telegram, and so on.

As I don't know what you are reporting, so I can't say for sure if 
icinga would be the best solution for you, other alternatives could be 
elk which gives you the possibility to search for result data, but can 
be more complex.


NOTE: icinga is like nagios, but better :)
