KA9Q and broadband?

Can KA9Q or similar dos software be configured to work with the internet on
broadband. Demon/who-knows told me my account will be closed when I rang up
to pay for another year.  I was told I would have to ring Namesco to 
close it?
(confused).  Any advice or help will be appreciated.

BTW

Any body know anything about Freola, They use the word "free" too many 
times for my
liking.
