Yeah, most I know don't even bother to have a phone
plugged into their landline if they have to have it for
adsl, just so they don't get any spam calls.

A mate of mine still does, but that is so he can ring
his 2 year old who is happy to answer the landline
but wont answer a mobile for some reason.

Yeah, I've considered it but can get a naked DSL service
here so rather academic. Now I'm about to change to the
NBN in weeks but all the majors that I have considered
have the phone service included and since I am on a
contract with dodo I will have to use theirs for another
year anyway.

Unless the saving is substantial, I likely will keep it for
a while. I still get some people calling it who wouldn't
know the mobile number and no easy way to tell them all.
