The manual advises that one should not use the engine-auto stop feature 
during normal parking.

So I'm meant to remember to turn it off when parking?

I've usually turned it off before then anyway, either when I started the 
car, if I remembered, or when the engine first got turned off.

All the same, Subaru, get real. This is not how humans work.
