For example, the auto-stop is disabled on a slope, but they don't 
specify how much of one.

In fact it's disabled in long list of circumstances.

It may be that the intent in the manual is not what it appears to be. 
Still, if the driver need not take any special action to comply with the 
warning, then what's it there for?
