as I've said several times already, it should be used to replace drivers 
one at a time, as that is the recommendation. it identifies what drivers 
are needed, then you have the option of doing them individually, or 
letting the software do them automatically. if they're done one at a 
time, any issue arising is obviously caused by that driver. normally, if 
there's only a few drivers to be updated, letting the program do them is 
not usually a problem. but in this case it needed to make a lot of 
changes, and so the potential for doing something wrong was much 
greater. still it only got two drivers wrong- actually the same driver, 
but two applications of it. and I should also mention that it might not 
have been the fault of the software after all, since maybe that driver 
did not provide enough info for it to be properly identified?

yes. I have a lot of stuff on this computer, and I don't usually bother 
with driver updating as often as I should
