correct

wrong. good techs don't make a diagnosis based on assumptions. the 
receiver was always plugged into the front USB ports, and booting was 
never an issue. the problems only arose after I used IObit software to 
upgrade 34 drivers

no. it happens before the bios screen finishes

it wasn't the cause. battery is fine

btw.. It has been on my agenda to reply to your latest post in 
aus.computers, but I was going to post some pics, which is why I haven't 
replied yet as I need to make them first, and today golf is on the 
agenda! :)

sure he tried to help, but it was mainly about promoting himself, as it 
came with the usual derisive remarks, and then he spat the dummy and 
pulled the plug because I said something he didn't like. very mature, 
not! why do ppl seem to think that I should always put up with criticism 
and smart arse comments and not react?
