You'd better *check* that, both in theory - i.e. with the coverage maps on the *Aldi*, *not* Telstra, website - and in practice - i.e. by buying a 'starter pack' and actually trying it on site. I say this, because last time (23DEC2015) I checked these 'cheap' providers, I found that Aldi uses *part of* the Telstra network. Aldi also *says* so: "Medion Australia Pty Ltd. trading as ALDImobile uses part of Telstra's 3G mobile network. The mobile product of ALDImobile provides a 3G coverage footprint of 98.5% of the Australian Population covering 1.3 million square kilometres. Outside the 3G coverage footprint, customers will revert to 2G coverage and speeds. The combined 2G and 3G footprint covers 98.8% of the Australian population." Note the "part of" bit! :-( To see the differences, check: <https://aldimobile.com.au/#/overlay/coverage-tw> versus <https://www.telstra.com.au/coverage-networks/our-coverage> I checked an outback town (Birdsville) which I knew had 'real-Telstra' coverage and indeed Aldi's coverage map did *not* show that town.
