I was enjoying there new line of cup-a-soups until I discovered they 
contained flavour enhancers, which cause skin conditions, and more

typical German efficiency. the checkout ppl sit down, so they don't tire 
as much. the conveyer belt brings the items right to them at arm level 
and they just slide them over the scanner- they don't have to pick up or 
handle the items. the dockets do not mention the amount of change to be 
given, so they have to calculate the correct change for every sale, 
which makes them stay mentally alert and prevents boredom. they don't 
pack the items, so that saves time and increases the speed of throughput 
of the registers.

yep it's a strategy to make you buy more. you have to move around the 
store looking for things, and therefore the hope is you'll buy things 
you weren't intending to

Coles and Woolies have enjoyed a trading monopoly and employ dubious 
trade practices to makimise profits. everyone should support Aldi!

yes they rarely change the layout. they don't need to since they they 
don't have competing brands or the number of items that the big 
supermarkets do.

I concur, however, you mostly have to buy veges in packages. you can't 
just buy a handful of beans for example, or a few spuds.
