Still 5 times what I normally pay.

Problem is that there is no bus service when
the garage sales start. We start at 6am.

If you don't get there first, you don't have a hope
of getting anything much except at places who
have silly ideas about what stuff is worth with
no one buying anything they have for sale.

The garage sale run was done by 7am last saturday.

Yep, we show up a full hour before the advertised opening time.

That's nicads, not modern li-ions. And that one didn't have a memory
effect, it just didn't charge at all and had to be used when plugged in
until eventually the battery dies so even that isn't possible either.

Since it's a standard soldered in battery, presumably the problem is
with how its charged since I don't get that effect with the cordless phones.

I use the phone now for the garage sales.

I did get one of those head mounted lights for the garage sales
but never used it enough to see how long the batterys last. Its
still got the originals in it.

Presumably that was because it was already partly charged.

I normally charge mine from the USB port on the PC just
because that is more mechanically convenient. I have a
USB port on a long extension cord that is just to the left
of where I sit which I use for USB sticks and charge it with
that. I normally charge it when I'm heading off for bed
when there is just one led lit on the charge indicator so
its not too clear to me how long it takes to charge.
