Apparently some OSs built on Linux have even been certified as UNIX systems.
To me it really does not matter: if being a UNIX matters to you it is damned
likely that Linux is, if not a "real" UNIX, close enough. And, of course,
macOS is a certified UNIX. Even older versions where the certifications have
expired WERE certified.
