You could get a nice TCP/IP stack for Win3.1. I think I used Netmanage Chameleon at that time. But for a while it was back to the "smart/rude or nice" rule because the average person could not set up that software. Win95 made it easier for sure, but I believe that if it wasn't for AOL "opening up" the Internet, the vast majority of people wouldn't have made use of Win95's TCP/IP stack. ... System halted.
