According to the above, the two fastest were the Xeon X3380 @ 3.16GHz, 
and the Core 2 Extreme X9770 @ 3.2GHz.

The Pentium D 960 was only 17th from the bottom on that list.

There were a lot of post-775 sockets, mind narrowing it down? Or you can 
look it up yourself from the above website.
