I understand...
The problem with ISMLP is that very often, the files are scanned, we get
sprites included in the Draw export
They do not all have the same resolution ( only 90 dpi :-() and the people
who scanned did not activate the OCR option during the scan ...

Yes,
Move the arrows so as to frame (encadrer) the vertical line, the density
spectrum does not move, on the other hand the left arrow will correspond
to black and that of the right to the white, the contrast is much more
important.
You have to test, hoping that the whole document has undergone the same
processing ...

You can get closer to the vertical line, there is no information in the
white parts of the histogram.

Note the best result is when the sprite is about 2500x3300.
Harriet , can you send me your IMSLP file, to test.
This morning I downloaded a file from this site to do tests and it cannot
be opened by Gview ....
