<div>Hello, </div><div></div><div>my name is brother Stefan. </div><div></div><div>I preach about the song Confidence at a retreat on the weekend. They write that it is a three-part sermon series, but unfortunately I can only find the Hope like Moses sermon. Is it possible to get the other two? Many thanks and greetings from Germany</div><div></div><div></div><div>Daniel lived in captivity in Babylon along with his friends Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. Though they faced pressures to conform to Babylonian society and give up the ways of their people, they stood strong in their faith, and God blessed Daniel with wisdom and the ability to interpret dreams. When he was called before King Nebuchadnezzar, Daniel was able to interpret what his dream meant without even hearing it! The dream foretold the future conquering of the Babylonian kingdom. Because of his interpretation of the dream, Daniel was appointed to be ruler of the province of Babylon and chief prefect over all the wise men of Babylon.</div><div></div><div></div><div></div><div></div><div></div><div>download song give me faith like daniel in the lion 39;s den</div><div></div><div>Download Zip: https://t.co/1HnEgy60hV </div><div></div><div></div><div>The story of Daniel in the lion's den teaches us about the promises and faithfulness of God, even if we feel like everything has been lost. This is a summary of the Biblical account of Daniel's refusal to bow to man and how God used Daniel to save a nation. You can read more in-depth Bible verses from the Scripture below and use the articles and videos to understand the meaning behind this teachable event in the Bible.</div><div></div><div></div><div>2) Some are facing a sinful habit that is ready to pounce....</div><div></div><div> - it is like God said to Cain --- sin is crouching outside your door, ready to devour you.</div><div></div><div> - and you want to have victory....and you want to get to a better place.....</div><div></div><div> - but the power of sin and the power of your own lusts and the power of the enemy is incredible strong....</div><div></div><div> - and it is like a lion that wants to eat you up.....and some may feel like the lion is winning.....</div><div></div><div></div><div>Daniel was a man like David, a man of integrity. "So he shepherded them according to the integrity of his heart" (Psalm 78:72). Wiersbe observes that "Integrity means having one heart (see Give Me An Undivided Heart), whereas a double-minded man is unstable in all his ways (James 1:8-note). David's sole purpose was to serve the Lord. David was a man of ability. He "guided them by the skillfulness of his hands" (Psalm 78:72). Integrity ties your heart and your hands together. Your heart serves the Lord, and your hands are busy for Him. We need people like that today. No amount of dedication can compensate for a lack of skill, but no amount of skill can compensate for a lack of dedication. We need both. David exhibited the traits of a true ruler--humility, integrity and ability. They also are required of you for faithful service. Where has God placed you for service? Are you a faithful leader or follower? He rewards His faithful servants. Dedicate yourself to the Lord today and serve Him faithfully.... Integrity is the key word. David was a man of integrity. Saul was a man of duplicity. He was double-minded, looking in two directions at once. But David kept his eyes on the Lord." As I like to say David (and Daniel) were men of "VERTICAL VISION (see note)" "living each day with a heart toward heaven" in contrast to living with your eyes on the world ("HORIZONTAL VISION.")</div><div></div><div></div><div>A GOOD NAME - Daniel had a Good Name (Daniel 1:20, 21-note, Daniel 5:11-note, Daniel 6:3-note) - "A good name is to be chosen rather than great riches." (Proverbs 22:1) Followers of Jesus Christ (of which Daniel was an OT representative!) are called to be people of integrity. They are to be upright and honest, choosing a good name above riches (Prov. 22:1) in a world that is seeking quite the opposite. In a poll of executives, for example, Gallup discovered that 80 percent admit to driving while drunk, 35 percent overstate tax deductions, 75 percent take work supplies for personal use, and 78 percent use the company phone for personal long distance calls. A study by the Office of Technology Assessment determined that one-third of the US government's telephone bill is spent on personal calls. Time theft and unauthorized absenteeism are also common offenses in the workplace. General Motors reports losing 9 percent of employee hours due to absenteeism. White-collar crime in the US is estimated at $40 billion per year. The Lord desires that His people act in a different way. We are always to do what is right and to speak the truth (Ps. 15:2). Integrity pleases Him, and it also benefits us. It gives us blessings far better than riches: freedom from guilt, a positive witness for Christ, and an intimate relationship with God. A good name is truly a priceless possession! --D C Egner</div><div></div><div></div><div>"Dare to be a Daniel." That's the title of a fairly well known children's song. You may know Daniel a little from the Old Testament book named after him. And you are probably most familiar with the story of his surviving a night in a lion's den. The king had placed him there after Daniel was caught disobeying the king by worshiping God.</div><div></div><div></div><div>Well, the issue upfront here was about obedience to God. It wasn't that being trained for government service or taking on a secular leadership position was bad. In fact, gifted Israelites could become very influential in their new society. No, the issue was whether the people of Israel would embrace pagan gods as part of their new society. Going along with the king's proposal meant they had to give up certain faith priorities. It meant they would have to change their faith walk. And that is what Satan wants. So what better place for this all to start than in the dining room; what better way than through the stomachs of hungry young men.</div><div></div><div></div><div>As we read earlier, we already know that it worked. All of them, except for four, were willing to give up some part of their faith, and go for the food. It was a step forward for Satan. Once Satan gets his foot in the door and gets people to take the first step of disobeying God - and somehow justify that disobedience - the next steps get easier. They're easier because you are already heading down a road away from God. Nebuchadnezzar knew what he was doing.</div><div></div><div></div><div></div><div></div><div></div><div></div><div>This is a worship album, unlike most worship albums out there. KingsPorch keeps the music accompaniment minimal (praise God!), with an acoustic flavor. They rely on a simple but interesting melody and strong lyrics to give the song interest, emotion, and depth.</div><div></div><div></div><div>Could we have the courage to live out our faith like Liddell? Too often we are tempted to care way too much about what others say about us. If Eric could endure the toxic & false muckraking, perhaps we could as well.</div><div></div><div></div><div>Daniel had been protected because he was faithful to God and because he had placed his trust in Him. God sees all that we do and He knows when we are treated unfairly. Continue to be faithful and trust Him to protect you and to help you in your difficulty. (Write under Consequences: A consequence to faithfulness to God is having His protection.) It takes daily discipline to be faithful to God. We must spend time each day praying to Him and reading His Word if we are going to be strong in our faith like Daniel was.</div><div></div><div></div><div>God can use your faith to make you a witness to others. God will reveal Himself to your friends just as he did to King Darius. When you have the courage to stand strong, you may give another friend that same courage. You can set an example in faith and in purity for others to follow.</div><div></div><div></div><div>The Philistines were a tribe from the Aegean Sea who had settled along the coast ofPalestine, bringing with them the roots of the Greek culture. The Greek culture was given to theworship of many different deities or gods and goddesses. The Philistines would of believed thatmultiple gods watched over them and directed their daily events, and would flock to shrinescalled oracles to have their future told by the priest or priestesses. Families and individuals triedto please the gods with offerings and ceremonies. The Philistines entered the land of Canaanabout the same time as the children of Israel did and were a very sophisticated, highly complex, extremely warlike people. They learned the art of iron smelting from the Hittite's and had themilitary and economic advantage over the Israelites. (The ancient Greek culture made lastingcontributions to our own Western civilization in the form of the arts, government, philosophy, mathematics and athletics all which influence our lives today.) They were a thorn in the side of Israel. The Philistines were at the time of Saul, and may very well represent in our lives today, enemiesof God. Goliath stood as a symbol of those things that were against the teachings of God. President Spencer W. Kimball spoke of modern day Goliaths and warned:</div><div></div><div></div><div>As a youth David had been taught the principle of faith. He had put his faith in the Lordas he tended and protected his father's sheep. David recognized that it was not by his own powerthat he had killed the bear and the lion, it was by the power of God. With that faith David metGoliath.</div><div></div><div></div><div>While serving a mission in Oklahoma I met Rick. Rick was 16 years old and wassearching for the truth. Through a young woman, who was a strong member of the church, Rickbegan taking the missionary lessons. He believed the message and wanted to be baptized. However, he needed his parents permission, who would not agree to his embracing the gospel, and would not give their permission. He was told that if he did join the Church that he would beevicted from his home and his family would disown him. Rick had a decision to make. Othershave had to make the same decision between Church and family, perhaps some of you heretoday. But Rick's situation was a bit different. Rick was blind, had no eyesight and was totallydependent upon his family. The young woman that had introduced him to the gospel had readthe Book of Mormon to him and by exercising his faith and prayer he had gained a testimony ofthe truthfulness of that book. He picked up the smooth stone of faith, and made the decision tobe baptized. His parents were true to their promise and Rick did loose his home and family. Butthrough one miracle after another, Rick was blessed with another home, support and means toprogress and grow in the gospel and life. Rick was able to defeat his Goliath by exercising faith.</div><div></div><div> dafc88bca6</div>
